Strong Road Capital

Growth equity for the evergreen economy.

We make minority investments at the top of the capital stack in established technology businesses with $20M+ revenue, proven unit economics, and AI tailwinds: Companies venture has left behind and PE can't buy.

Our Approach

Fishing in a broad pond with few boats.

From 2017 to 2022, venture capital funded roughly forty thousand companies per year. Fewer than 1,200 became unicorns. The companies in the top quartile below that line built something real: revenue, customers, unit economics that work. But they aren't what venture is chasing anymore.

At the same time, private equity funds have grown so big that they have to buy these companies, or take a controlling position, in order to make an investment. We fill the gap. Strong Road makes minority investments at the top of the stack, structured for the exit they're already building toward.

What We Look For

  • $20M+ revenue with 30–100% top-line growth
  • Stabilized unit economics (not negative-margin "growth at all costs")
  • Scalable GTM and battle-tested management
  • AI tailwinds: native AI companies, or sectors where AI is either restructuring costs or driving a step-change in demand (data center infrastructure, energy, connectivity).
